Equipped

Hebrews 13:21 (Now may the God of peace) …equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Sometimes we may wonder if we are doing enough to please God with our lives and perhaps even feel guilty about disappointing Him. Paul reminds us that God is constantly working within us and will also equip us with all that is necessary to please Him. All we need to do, then, is to accept God’s help and be guided by His grace.

Prayer: Lord God, equip us with Your love so we may please You with our lives. Amen.

Changes

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)

Everything and everyone changes over time. Nothing stays the same and we all experience anxiety when something new or unexpected comes our way. But no matter how many changes take place in our lives, Jesus Christ is constantly the same, offering us guidance and grace, friendship and faith, hope and love every day of our lives.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, be our constant haven and safe place in this changing world. Amen.
